State police are investigating a burglary that happened late last week in South Mahoning Township.  The burglary was reported at the TC Shannon Lumber and Logging company in the 1500 block of Mahoning Road between 4:30 PM on May 5th and 6:00 the next morning.  An unknown person or persons kicked in a door at the property and stole a Stihl Chainsaw, three Milwaukee-brand drills, chargers and batteries, a DeWalt Grease Gun, a drill, a back grinder, a Cobalt socket set and an Icon Wrench Set.  Police estimate that the burglar made off with $4500 worth of tools.  Anyone with information on the theft can call state police in Indiana at 724-357-1960.

State police report an incident of cruelty of animals that happened in early April.  State police say that the incident was reported on Climax Road in West Wheatfield Township at 9:30 PM on April 6th.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.
